Deep Sea Music presents an authentic Bluegrass construction kit performed by Nashville A-list players, called "Baptized in the River". This construction kit is based on Nashville standards that have withstood the test of time. This Bluegrass “song” contains multiple variations and parts for each instrument including 2 bass, 3 mandolin, 14 fiddle, 3 banjo, and 8 guitar loops.

These loops were recorded at 125 BPM in the key of B Major, but can be easily time-stretched and pitch-shifted within Satellite to fit your tracks. The loops in this construction kit can be used together to create an entire Bluegrass track, or they can be used individually to serve as a foundation or add some flair to your already-existing tracks.

The first multi in this SoundBlock contains one pre-constructed mix, with multiple intros, outros, verses, and solos that you can trigger individually from your keyboard. This allows you to start making music right away. The subsequent menus allow you to trigger each instrument part individually, so that you can create your own custom mixes. It doesn’t get any easier than this to create your own mixes of authentic, quality bluegrass!

New SoundBlock: Scarlatti Harpsichords

Scarlatti Harpsichords features two sampled harpsichords, custom built by skilled craftsmen. The first harpsichord, built by John Germer, was designed after instruments used by the famous composer and performer Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757), and is therefore considered to be of Italian design. It was sampled with a double set of 8 foot strings, then with a set of 4 foot strings added. The second harpsichord was designed and built in the Flemish style by William Dowd, and is slightly quieter, warmer and with a "woodier" tone. It has two keyboards (manuals), the uppermost with a single set of 8 foot strings, while the lower manual has a set of 8 foot and 4 foot strings.

All of the patches in this SoundBlock feature release samples of the quills falling into place on each string, contributing to the realism of the harpsichord's unique sound. The variety of tones available in this SoundBlock affords opportunities for creating authentic period music, theatrical and film scores, and adventurous pop and rock.
Scarlatti Harpsichords was produced by Jim Miller and was recorded and programmed for Satellite to meet the exacting demands of professional musicians--and it's great fun to play!

Feel the power of the pipes! Gloria-Cathedral Organs is a fantastic collection of Pipe Organ sounds from three different locations, including a classic large stone and stucco cathedral, and a smaller wooden church. The largest of the three is a massive instrument that is actually built into the side of a mountain overlooking San Francisco Bay!

Rather than recording each organ rank (groups of pipes) separately, producer Jim Miller recorded several carefully chosen combinations of "stops." The result is in an authentic and wide-ranging variety of commonly used organ sounds perfect for sacred, historical, and theatrical music, or for wherever one's creative currents flow.

Each combination of stops is offered separately on individual multis in Satellite, and there are also "virtual manual" multis, where each of three MIDI channels has different combinations that can be played with different controllers, or in a multi-track sequencing environment. An assortment of pedal tones is also included. Users can easily adjust the ambiance in Gloria by moving the mod wheel, or remove Satellite's ambiance completely and use a convolution reverb.

Organs include:
Faith Presbyterian Organ in Tallahassee, Florida: A church pipe organ in a medium-sized acoustic setting.

Queen of Peace Catholic Church Organ in Ocala, Florida: A stone-stucco cathedral acoustic setting in one of Florida's largest churches.

Littlefield Organ in the San Francisco Bay area: The largest organ with 32' pedal tones in a grand acoustic setting.

Lay into some clamorous chords, fire up a fugue, and prepare to be blown away by the pipes of Gloria-Cathedral Organs!

Electro Injection is a two-part sonic booster of bleeding edge loops and playable slices designed to work at virtually any tempo, thanks to our proprietary X-Time process. Not only does it give you instant inspiration out of the box with over 70 pre-constructed synth and noise loops, but you can also play your own with the more than 60 sonically treated keyboard sounds taken from the loops. Electro Injection is sizzling with today's modern electro sound, for whatever style of electronic music you want to create. Simply add drums: breakbeat, 4 on the floor, etc. (we recommend Patchen's 4th Floor series of SoundBlocks) and this SoundBlock will do the rest.

Created for use in a variety of keys, the first several Multis contain loops that are grouped into menus that work together. Following these Multis are the playable bass, pad, lead, vocal, and fx sounds that allow you to come up with your own creations from scratch, or play along with the loops if you desire. Using your modulation wheel you get instant control over the sonic character of the sound. Learn MIDI knobs on your controller to the effects sends and Quick Edit knobs for even more real-time sonic mayhem. Whatever style of electro-based music you are creating, Electro Injection will inoculate your music with sonic goodness.

Deep Sea Music's Parlour Guitar is the second multi-sampled title in the Intimate Guitar Series. This 00-21 1972 steel string Parlour guitar has a broad dynamic range suitable for finger style classical, jazz, folk, country, downtempo, and pop styles. This particular model has been in production by the Martin factory since 1898, a very popular instrument for performing and recording.

The Parlour Guitar's variety of articulations includes soft, medium, and loud sustained tones, mutes, recorded bends, harmonics, thumb tones and finger scrapes, all skillfully programmed for one keyboard layout. In sampling this instrument, Deep Sea sought to capture its expressive range, complete with the slight buzzes and snaps heard in aggressive playing. Also put into service are Satellite's synth-parameters and built-in effects, which add depth and variety to the Parlour guitar's sublime character. Try different Bus outputs on the mixer to activate some extreme delay and distortion effects! Check out all the patch variations and try moving your mod wheel to find the sound that suits you. Your inner guitarist will thank you for downloading Deep Sea Music's Parlour Guitar.

This SoundBlock, featuring the vocal anomalies of monster keyboardist Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), is free to all registered users of Samplebase. It loads exclusively into our free Satellite synth-player.

Halfway through the 2009 NAMM show in Anaheim, Jordan noticed that his voice had changed as a result of straining to talk over the loud rumble of the show, producing a second tone that was exactly an octave higher than his normal voice. So, he decided to pull out his trusty iPhone and record the phenomenon in his hotel room. During the show, we happened to have the video camera running as he explained his revelation to us... so naturally, we asked him if we could snag his samples and try our hand at programming them for Satellite, to which he replied, "Why not?"

Watch the video: HERE

After the show, we took the samples back to our lab at Samplebase to see what our Satellite engine could do with them. Quite pleased with the results, we're now happy to offer these unique sounds in a complimentary SoundBlock called NODE for our loyal users. Thanks so much to Jordan for sharing his experiment with us. Enjoy!

4th Floor - Tech | House | Electro - Side B is the first in a two-part collection of drum loops, ready to ignite your next dance track with 4-on-the-floor bliss. These great sounding loops work in just about any tempo, thanks to our exclusive X-Time processing. Unlike loops you'll find elsewhere online, Satellite gives you a multitude of possibilities with mixing and matching combinations. You also get immediate control of filter cutoff by moving your mod wheel, coupled with 10 assignable filter types and resonance control. Each loop is broken out into its own stem, with its own volume, panning, effects, filters, lfo's, and envelopes.

There are several combinations pre-built and ready for your trigger finger, including menus that allow for swapping sounds, and menus of kicks, snares, hats, fx, etc. There is also a slice "kit" of every loop so you can create your own patterns. Perfect for most types of modern dance music, especially Tech, Minimal, and Electro House, 4th Floor - Tech | House | Electro - Side B will keep the dance floor crowded all night long.
