Default RAM Saving feature in Satellite

Since Satellite loads all SoundBlocks into memory (RAM) it is helpful to know that there is a feature that will help free up a lot of that precious space, when needed.

Once you've loaded a SoundBlock into Satellite and have decided on a multi you'd like to work with, you can clear all the rest of the sounds out of memory. Here's what you do:

Click on the "Global" tab and select "Delete All From Memory Except Current Multi".

Aside from the current multi you are on, all other multi's will be cleared out of Satellite, thus freeing up RAM.

How do you begin a session to loop the tracks and make a song, and how do you save it as wav?

I'll be working on a video tutorial next week that shows how you can render the loops you play in Satellite as wav/aiff files. In short, for Garage Band you need to record a MIDI sequence first to trigger the loops from Satellite. Once you have recorded your sequence, you can choose the "Save As" or "Export" function (I can't remember which one Garage Band uses right now) to export your sequence as an audio file.

Best,

You are welcome. If you are just getting into using virtual instruments (or in our case a virtual sampler) you'll be excited to know that Satellite can do a lot more than what regular wav/aiff loops are capable of. Give the online manual a good read, it's located in our "Support" area as it will help you get the most out of Satellite. Glad you like the loops.

Best,

Just wanted to say thank for this excellent tip. I was actually getting the memory full error as I had several instances loaded in FL Studio.
