Default Velocity Control

Hi,

I just upgraded to Pro version in hopes of better velocity control.

But it's not happening.

Many samples I try to play soft but I get hardly no change in volume.

Especially in Urban Strings . . . I get no change at all.

In some drum programs I get alittle velocity but no where near enough.

Thanks for any help with this . . . . . as I hate to have to resample the whole thing to make it work.

EDIT ALERT : : : -----------

I went to patch control and was able to get better velocity for the drum patches . . . :^)

BUT - Urban Strings still no control . . . :^(

Hello Larry,

Try this to get some velocity sensitivity on the Platinum Strings patches.

Go to the PATCH screen, under the AMP/PATCH settings, turn the LOOP MOD to - "MIDI Loop Level Control Off"

Then in the AMP ENV section adjust the velocity amount to your liking.

Hope this helps-
Marcus

Hi Larry, also with loop-based sounds like Platinum Strings, the velocity control is only going to affect the loudness of the entire loop. So, depending on how hard/soft you hit the key, that entire loop will either play louder or softer. There isn't a way to change the velocity for each note in a loop. If you are trying to achieve this effect, you will need to automate the volume for each note. Does this help?

Best,
