Save as wave
Why do you not allow the sample to be saved as a wave, AIFF file etc. This is what I love about Ableton Live rendering facility.
Also, is there plans for a pro tools compatible unit.

Re: Save as wave
Hello there,
We're working on RTAS support, so hopefully within the next couple of months we'll be able to get you that.
In terms of rendering, you most certainly can use Live to render your loops as audio files. You just need to trigger everything with a MIDI sequence, first.
Does this answer your question?
BTW, sorry for the delayed response. The whole team was at the NAMM show.
Best,
MB

Re: Save as wave

Perhaps by releasing an RTAS version of Satellite (any day now) this will solve your problem?
Best,

We just put the RTAS version up a couple of hours ago. It's not yet been announced, so you got it before everyone. We'll be announcing it tomorrow. Thank you for your patience. Please let us know how it works out for you.
Best,

Hi Julian,
It sounds to me like you are trying to install one of the SoundBlocks, my guess is The Ignition SoundBlock. You cannot install a SoundBlock by double-clicking it or trying to execute it. When you attempt to do so you will be asked to select an application to open it with. SoundBlocks load exclusively into Satellite, which you must install first. If you've not done so already, download it for free from here: http://samplebase.com/satellite.htm
After you install Satellite, you can click the "Load" button and select your SoundBlock. Please watch our video tutorials or read the manual found in our "Support" area: http://samplebase.com/support
Best,

Midi things
Yo, i figure out how to get protools working but it to time because it does not seem to like to go out to another program... Thanks...
but Question is about midi.. i got it to work only with protools.. the normal midi will not play when i down load a midi fille and if i put it in protools i am not routing it or something...
REally what i want is to run a midi file to the Stand alone Satilite without having a midi interfaiz... you know no midi controller and no protools ..,, just the standa lone and a midi file playing the Chorus on E3 for 16 bar...
How do i do that??? i think i mess some standard midi thing up...
Oh yeah dude... Heat seekers does good stuff set But KASKADE"""" is the beast"". I mean i don't even like techno but his stuff i Great.. Oh and Deaf jam did good D&Bass Beats. Thanks

If you first record the loops as MIDI notes in Pro Tools, you should have no trouble rendering it as audio using the "save as" or "export" feature. I don't have Pro Tools in front of me, but if you poke around you should see this option.

You can import MIDI files into Satellite, but the key to doing this is knowing what notes the MIDI file is triggering. For example, most all of the loops start on C3 in Satellite so a "musical" MIDI file that is playing different notes will not work with these, but WILL work with our multisampled instruments. To see what kind of sound is loaded, click the patch name so it is highlighted, followed by clicking the "Info" tab at the top. You will see 4 radio buttons in the center titled "Instrument", "Instrument + MIDI Loop", "Sliced Loop", "Audio Loop/Phrase". If the radio button shows that your loaded patch is an "Instrument" or "Instrument + MIDI Loop" you can right-click on the patch name and select "Import MIDI Loop Into Patch". Once the loop is loaded, you have 3 options available to you by left-clicking the circle icon under where it says "Loop" just to the right of the patch name.
1. MIDI Loop Off - The MIDI loop does not trigger anything in the selected patch.
2. MIDI Loop ON (No Transpose) - The MIDI loop plays in the original key across the entire keyboard.
3. MIDI Loop On (Transpose) - The MIDI loop will transpose as you play up and down the keyboard.
If you want to capture audio using the standalone version, you will need a program that will allow you to record your sound card's output. I hope this answers your question. We're happy to hear that you like the SoundBlocks. Hopefully you can discover the most optimal way for them to work for you.
Best,
